My day: Woke up after noon. Talked to my sister for an hour and a half. Dyed hard-boiled eggs with my roommates. Drank a Mimosa. Ate many deviled eggs. Drank a Brass Monkey (Malt Liquor and Orange Juice). Took a shower. Hung out with the roommates. Took a 2 hour nap. Drove to Heidi’s. Ate candy….
It was a pretty damn good holiday. :)
I ate breakfast with my lover, then went for an early morning drive alone. That culminated in a(n injury-free!) car accident with some international tourists who illegally passed me on the left as I was making a legal left turn. I came home, baked my favorite chocolate cookies and made paper Easter baskets for Cathy and Daisy. I made some sugar cookie dough, and watched Pirates: Stagnetti’s Revenge with the roommates while Valerie and I cooked Easter dinner, and then Cathy and Daisy came over to hang out and help us eat it all. Probably my most non-traditional Easter yet, but I think it was the best one I’ve had since I was a little kid.
I feel so inspired! The way I view the world has been changing; the way I live my life is following. Finally, finally, after such a long drought, I can see the edge of possibility. There is hope, there is light, and life will be what I allow it to become.
